Here are the Five Reiki Principles or the Five Reiki Precepts:

 

Just for today, I will not be angry.

The first Reiki principle emphasizes the importance of avoiding anger and cultivating inner peace. Anger is a powerful emotion that can disrupt the flow of energy in the body and negatively impact our mental, emotional, and physical health. By focusing on the present moment and releasing feelings of anger, we can promote a sense of calmness and relaxation in our lives. Just for today, I will not worry.

The second Reiki principle emphasizes the importance of releasing worry and anxiety and trusting in the universe’s guidance. Worry is a common emotion that can cause stress and disrupt the flow of energy in the body. By focusing on the present moment and trusting in the universe’s wisdom, we can release feelings of worry and cultivate a sense of inner peace and calmness. This principle encourages us to be mindful of our thoughts and focus on positive affirmations, such as “I trust in the universe’s guidance” or “I release feelings of worry and anxiety.”

 

Just for today, I will be grateful.

The third Reiki principle emphasizes the importance of cultivating a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the blessings in our lives. Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can attract abundance and positivity into our lives. By focusing on the things we are grateful for, we can cultivate a positive mindset and attract more blessings into our lives. This principle encourages us to create a daily gratitude practice, such as writing in a gratitude journal or expressing gratitude to others.

 

Just for today, I will do my work honestly.

The fourth Reiki principle emphasizes the importance of integrity and honesty in our work and relationships. By doing our work honestly, we can maintain our energy levels and contribute positively to the world. This principle encourages us to be truthful in our interactions with others and to act with integrity in our personal and professional lives. It also reminds us to pursue work that aligns with our values and supports our personal growth and development.

 

Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

The fifth Reiki principle emphasizes the importance of practicing kindness and compassion towards all living beings, including ourselves, animals, and the environment. By cultivating kindness, we can create a more harmonious and loving world. This principle encourages us to practice acts of kindness, such as volunteering or donating to charity, and to treat ourselves and others with compassion and respect. It also reminds us of the interconnectedness of all things and the importance of treating the environment with care and respect.
